Las Vegas Shows

Elvis Pressley, Frank Sinatra with the Rat Pack and Liberace all made Las Vegas there home in years gone by and excellent tributes to these artists line the strip giving  it the feel of the good old days when this town boomed partly because of what these legends brought to the city.

As the sun goes down Las Vegas wakes up, the neon lights illuminate the strip and everything seems to come to life, one of the best things about this place is the evenings. Dress up, go to dinner have a flutter and then perhaps the best bit go and see one of the sensational world class shows in Las Vegas.

The theatres and arenas of Las Vegas attract the world’s best artists. Both Celine Dion and Sir Elton John have resident stints in the coliseum at Caesars Palace and are both fantastic shows. Barry Manilow entertains his guests at the Las Vegas Hilton with a stunning performance of his well known hits. Other artists that visit regularly include The Rolling Stones, Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand, Billy Joel and Sheryl Crow amongst many others. Tickets for these headline shows book up way in advance of the date so pre booking is essential.

All of the large resorts also have their own resident shows offering a variety of entertainment no where else on earth can provide. The world famous Cirque Du Soleil have no fewer than 5 shows, they are: Zumanity at New York New York, KA at the MGM Grand, O at bellagio, Mystere at Treasure Island and the amazing Beetles Love which entertains with the sensational music this legendary band gave us at The Mirage. Other resident shows include Mamma Mia, the tribute musical to Abba at Mandalay Bay, the Broadway musical The Produces at the Paris hotel and the enchanting Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas. These are just some of the shows available and there are many others to consider.

Some of the cities larger resorts also host major sporting events, some of the worlds biggest boxing matches were held here, basketball, golf and wrestling also feature in the city regularly.

Many hotels also have free entertainment, as you sit and enjoy a cocktail a house band or singer may be performing nearby, this adds to the wonderful ambiance that Las Vegas provides.
